Yes, I am always excited to learn new songs for the bride’s walk down the aisle or for as the couple leave the ceremony. I can make recordings of these for you to approve before the day and make any adjustments as needed to the feel or tempo. We can discuss the timing of the aisle piece to get it just right, but I am always able to improvise the ending on the spot so that I round off the piece nicely just after the bride reaches the front.

I aim to arrive at least an hour before I am due to start playing, to have plenty of time to speak to the coordinator or staff about where I will be playing. I will set up and do a quick soundcheck. I will also have a very quick chat with the celebrant about any cues or signals for when I will be playing the songs, just so everything runs perfectly.
-
Yes, absolutely. It is always a great pleasure to accompany a guest as they sing the bride down the aisle. I can be in touch with them before the day and discuss the key and tempo of the piece, and send them a demo recording to practice with. I will provide them with a microphone and amplification on the day, and we can have a practice before the other guests come in.

Yes if needed I am always happy to speak to anyone involved before day, including celebrants, wedding coordinators or venue staff, and it is nice to exchange contact info with eg. a best man/bridesmaid. It can be a good idea to discuss where I will be setting up on the day, but I can also just liaise with people when I arrive. I normally have a quick chat with the celebrant/officiator to discuss the cues and signals for when I start playing each piece, just so every detail is thought through.

Yes, I use a battery powered amplifier so I can set up anywhere without the need for a power outlet, and it will just take me 5 minutes to relocate somewhere else in the venue for eg. the drinks reception. If the ceremony is in a church and the reception is at a different address I am happy to do this too.

I have Public Liability Insurance up to £5 million.
My amplifier is battery powered so it doesn’t require PAT testing but I ensure it is kept in safe and perfect condition.
