I have a large repertoire of classic & modern pop songs, all played in a folky acoustic style, along with many classical, jazz and folk pieces. I can prepare & learn special pieces for your day & tailor the music to complement the ceremony perfectly.

My approach to providing music for weddings is to bring the heart and soul of the song to the fore.

Fingerstyle guitar playing is a highly skilled way to incorporate the melody, rhythm and chords of a song into a solo instrumental performance, without the need for any backing tracks or loop pedals at all.

I pride myself on taking each song and arranging it in a way that captures the essence of the original but makes it suitable for the wedding setting, so feel free to request songs in any genre and I can create a beautiful fingerstyle arrangement.

My playing style is influenced by folk guitar greats such as Nick Drake and Bert Jansch, and I bring this musicianship and ability into my wedding performances.

It is a privilege to be asked to provide music to a couples special day, and I care deeply about getting every detail right, and creating the perfect atmosphere for different parts of the day.

My own music (davidianroberts.com) has been played on the BBC Radio 2 Folk Show, and by Cerys Matthews and Guy Garvey on BBC6 Music, and received excellent reviews.

I have released 5 solo albums to date on welsh label Cambrian Records, toured the UK, and remain passionate about my creative output.

BBC’s Mark Radcliffe described my 2020 album ‘From The Harbour’ as “A quiet masterpiece…one of the records I’ll cherish in the future”.

I also compose and record albums of library music which have been used on the BBC (Gone Fishing, Countryfile), ITV and Channel 4, and on television around the world.

My guitar playing has also featured on FIFA 2020 and the Netflix series ‘Behind Her Eyes’.

I have toured the UK as a duo with the folk guitarist Henry Parker, with our album ‘Chasing Light’ achieving over 250,000 streams.
